Upgradex runs on three primary currencies that gate the Upgrade Tree. Points fuel each run, Research Points (lambda) unlock persistent branches, and Prestige Points buy permanent multipliers after resets. Points are your run-time income—spent on tree nodes and largely reset on Prestige. Early efficiency decides whether Research unlocks feel smooth or painful.

Research Points persist across Prestige and open major branches. Earn the RESEARCH badge by engaging this layer—see how to get Research.

Never starve lambda income to chase cosmetics; mid-game stalls usually mean Research neglect.

Prestige Points

Prestige Points arrive after resets and fund permanent shop nodes. Timing matters—use Prestige calculator and formula tips.

Future Update 1.1 layers will likely still reward strong Prestige foundations.
