Upgradex Secrets Guide

Upgradex hides several miscellaneous secrets beyond the standard upgrade tree and prestige loop. These range from harmless Easter eggs like the RADICAL³ upgrade that runs away from your cursor, to collectible items like the Perfect Key obtained through Incremental Clicker exploration, to limited-time Main Menu RNG events that spawn decorative elements. This guide documents every verified in-game secret as of RELEASE 1.1, plus notable deleted or scrapped content like the multi-part UNREALITY puzzle.

Perfect Key – Obtainable Secret Item

The Perfect Key is a genuine collectible item players can obtain by navigating to the Incremental Clicker (found inside the Computer). From the final area of Incremental Clicker, the player must continue walking to the right after reaching the end. When the player reaches the rocks at the edge of the map, a text prompt appears and the Perfect Key is automatically added to the player's inventory.

After obtaining the key, players can visit bdidk235's room for lore relating to the key and a mysterious Door. The room provides information about the item's background, though using the key on the door unfortunately does not currently produce any result—the key is effectively a collector's item with no gameplay utility at this time.

The Door & bdidk235's Room

The Door appears in bdidk235's room after the player obtains the Perfect Key. Visiting the room reveals story details about the key and door, but attempting to use the key on the door does not unlock anything in the current RELEASE 1.1 build. This may be future content or a discontinued puzzle line.

For a visual walkthrough of the Perfect Key and Door sequence, see the embedded guide below. The video walkthrough by the community covers the exact path through Incremental Clicker to reach the rocks at the edge.

RADICAL³ – The Upgrade That Runs Away

RADICAL³ is a fictional upgrade placed in the upgrade tree purely as a prank. When the player hovers their cursor over the RADICAL³ node, it immediately teleports away to one of its multiple designated locations around the map, making it impossible to purchase. The stats displayed on the upgrade node are fabricated and designed to lure curious players into believing it is a legitimate powerful upgrade.

This is a deliberate red herring by Orthogon Studios—do not waste time trying to acquire it. The upgrade cannot be obtained under any circumstances in the current build.

Deleted / Scrapped – UNREALITY Puzzle

UNREALITY was a four-part puzzle present during update v1.0, beginning at Terriac's House in the Paper Dimension. Only Part 1 was ever released to players while the remaining three parts were still in development. Due to extremely low community engagement with the puzzle and Terriac being the sole developer, the project was ultimately scrapped.

Only Part 1 of the UNREALITY puzzle remains playable in the current RELEASE 1.1 build. The UNREALITY guide covers what is still accessible. The UNREALITY badge [UNFINISHED] sits at 0 public awards as it requires server-owner access to complete.

Other Misc Secrets

Beyond the major secrets above, Upgradex contains additional hidden items, upgrades, and visual Easter eggs that appear under specific conditions. These are updated as the community discovers them. Major discoveries are announced in the Orthogon Discord and reflected in wiki updates.

Because Upgradex secrets are intentionally hidden and undocumented by design, this section grows over time. Check back after each game update. Do not trust YouTube videos claiming to reveal "all secrets" as many are fabricated or require patched mechanics.
